3.0 100% User Data & Intellectual Property Ownership Guarantee
“Opifico does not assert any intellectual property claim, copyright, or patent right over files, drawings, cut patterns, cut lists, DXF exports, or PDF specifications generated by users through our software. You retain 100% ownership of your work.”
Input Data Sovereignty: All workpiece dimensions, lumber species, sheet material profiles, kerf widths, parts tags, assembly hierarchies, and project metadata entered or uploaded into Opifico remain your sole, exclusive intellectual property. Opifico acquires zero ownership, zero licensing rights, and zero commercial claims over your workshop designs.
Output Deliverable Ownership: You retain complete, unencumbered ownership of all algorithmic solutions and exported technical artifacts generated by Opifico, including:
- 1D linear stock cutting distributions and cut sequence schedules.
- 2D sheet nesting layouts, guillotine cutting maps, and offcut recovery coordinates.
- Vector workshop cut sheets and dimensional drawings exported as multi-page PDF documents.
- CAD/CAM DXF vector export files formatted for CNC routers, beam saws, and digital fabrication machinery.
- Universal panel saw CSV manifests and JSON project backups.
Zero Copyleft Contamination: The permissive licenses (Apache 2.0, MIT, BSD 3-Clause, ISC) governing Opifico's underlying libraries do not impose copyleft or viral restrictions on data processed by those libraries. Using Opifico to generate cutting stock layouts or CAM files does not subject your private workpiece designs, shop drawings, or physical products to any open-source licensing obligation.
4.0 Commercial Fabrication & Output Rights
Commercial cabinetmakers, millwork subcontractors, metal fabricators, and makers are granted full, unrestricted rights to:
- Fabricate, machine, assemble, finish, and manufacture physical workpieces using Opifico cutting layouts.
- Sell, market, and distribute physical goods fabricated from Opifico cutting patterns without royalties, licensing fees, or usage surcharges.
- Distribute exported PDF cut sheets, DXF drawings, and panel saw CSV manifests to shop floor operators, clients, subcontractors, and manufacturing partners.
- Operate free of any requirement to display the Opifico logo, brand name, or attribution mark on physical finished goods.
5.0 Upstream Code & Dependency Integrity
Opifico is committed to open-source software integrity. In accordance with license requirements, upstream source code for all third-party dependencies can be obtained directly from their official source repositories linked in the Attribution Matrix above.
