Guide
Everything in the app at a glance: the workflow, what each page does, the solvers and their options, and the file formats you can bring in and take out.
From stock to cut list
Five steps, the same for wood, metal and frame profiles.
- 1
Record your stock
Add the boards, sheets, bars and tubes you have in Inventory: type them in or Import a CSV. A new browser starts with sample stock you can keep or clear.
- 2
Pick a solver
Linear cutting cuts lengths from planks, dowels, bar, tube and extrusion. Sheet nesting lays parts out on sheets. Project Solver runs every class of a saved project at once.
- 3
Choose where stock comes from
Use inventory cuts from what you have. Enter stock uses one-off sizes just for this job. Best fit from supplier buys as many of each listed size as the job needs.
- 4
Enter parts and solve
Add parts in material groups, or paste them from a spreadsheet. Check the Cutting setup, read the Cost line, then press Solve.
- 5
Cut, save and export
Tick parts off as you cut, save usable offcuts back to inventory, save the job as a project, and export PDF, DXF, CSV or labels for the shop.
Key ideas
- Units
Choose mm, cm, m, in or ft in Settings. Units only change how sizes are shown; stored sizes never change, so you can switch at any time.
- Prices
Prices are per piece of stock: per plank, bar or sheet, not per metre or square metre. With prices, results show stock and waste cost, and Cheapest stock mix can choose stock by price.
- Kerf
Every cut removes the width of the blade. The solvers leave that gap between parts, so set it to your saw blade, or to the bit or laser spacing for free-form nesting.
- Offcuts
After a solve, leftovers above your Usable offcut thresholds (Settings → Shop floor) are offered back to inventory. You tick the ones to keep; smaller pieces count as scrap.
- Stock classes
Nine classes in three families. Switch off the ones you never use in Settings → Shop floor and they disappear from inventory, the solvers and projects.
- Where your data lives
Without an account everything stays in this browser. Signing in syncs inventory, suppliers, projects and settings across devices. Theme, text size and language stay per device.
Free and paid solves
| Plan | What you get |
|---|---|
| Free | Up to 1 material group, 15 part rows, 5 entered stock sizes and 500 pieces per job, and 20 solves a day. No account needed. |
| Paid | $0.10 per material on the standard engine, $0.30 with Pro options. Sheet nesting is priced by the number of pieces, from $0.20 per material. A material is one material at one thickness or size. |
| Pro options | Pro search, a Priority other than Balanced, Free-form nesting and Cheapest stock mix. |
| Balance | Paid solves need an account with a balance in US dollars. Top-ups never expire and are shared with your AI agents. A solve that finds no solution is refunded. |
